Peter holds a Masters in Engineering Management and a B.E. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Canterbury as well as a NACE Cathodic Protection qualification. He has been involved in the pipeline industry since 2005 and has experience covering the full project life cycle (FEED, detailed design, construction, commissioning, operation and emergency response) of high pressure gas and oil transmission lines in New Zealand and Australia. Through his consulting career he has frequently held the position of Senior Pipeline Engineer for Owner/Operators, encompassing day to day operations and major design projects.
Major projects that Peter has been involved with include the Pohokura onshore pipelines, Dampier to Bunbury Stage 5B construction, QCLNG 42” pipeline design and the development of many of the NZ operators pipeline management systems.

Robert has worked in several Field, Project and Business Operation roles within the Oil & Gas and pipeline industries for more than ten years. Predominantly working as part of a field services team performing the duties involved in operating and maintaining high pressure transmission pipelines to AS 2885. Robert holds qualifications in Cathodic Protection and has experience performing monitoring and installation. He has also worked as a Project Supervisor for plant and station projects. Robert holds a BSc and a BCA.

Rob has worked in a number of draughting, field support/service and technical roles over the last 20+ years which have included surveying (including GPS capture projects), oil and gas exploration, utility and downstream pipeline and facility data management arenas. He has worked for many of the major Operators in the NZ energy sector including STOS, Fletcher Energy, Powerco and Vector and also completed an 18 month role for Woodside in Perth. For the last decade his main focus has been in the design and implementation of oil and gas industry Geographic Information Systems (GIS) utilising both Intergraph Geomedia and ESRI Arc Editor software.
Nigel has worked in the Oil and Gas industry for more than 25 years and brings a wealth of experience in Project Management, Turnaround, Operational and Maintenance systems and plant processes. Prior to joining Core Group in 2019 he held various roles with Methanex NZ ltd. initially in maintenance works and steering major mechanical projects. He then transitioned into Operations eventually becoming a Shift Team Leader and Operations Turnaround Lead. While working for Core Group he has been involved in numerous Project Management roles including in-line inspections for both onshore and offshore pipelines. Nigel brings a strong health and safety focus and attention to detail to any work front.
Nigel is an indentured Fitter and Turner by trade and holds a National Certificate in Energy and Chemical Plant (Boiler Operation) with Steam Strand – Level 2.
